General Practice Nurses Wanted in Manchester, UK - Apply, Get Visa and Housing Allowance

General Practice Nursing:
Career Overview - General nurses fall into two categories: RNs and LPNs. General nurses provide direct patient care, which can include bathing and dressing patients, administering doctor-prescribed medications, and collecting fluid samples and supervising the work of certified nurse assistants (CNAs).

Across Greater Manchester, the stage is set. As more care moves out of hospitals and closer to patients in the communities they live in, General Practice Nursing is coming to the fore.

This is a varied role with the opportunity to get to know patients, as our nurses are often the first person they see and someone they get to know throughout their time with their GP surgery. Join us and you’ll be right at the heart of a new approach to integrated care across neighbourhoods, focusing around each patient and helping them become more independent and live healthier lives.

As a primary care nurse, you’ll deal with a variety of areas of medicine and healthcare. It’s a vital role that focuses on treating patients with minor injuries and illnesses, as well as managing a range of long-term conditions such as diabetes, respiratory illness and cardiovascular. You’ll also administer medications and vaccinations and do an important job in preventative medicine with health screenings and check-ups.

In return, you will develop an impressive range of skills and move down clearly defined pathways to further enhance your career - whether you choose to specialise in general family medicine (all ages), geriatrics (the elderly) or paediatrics (children).

Unlike other areas of nursing you are also able to work regular hours with a predictable schedule within office hours, enabling you to have a good work/life balance.

We’re developing a whole new approach to nursing. The stage is yours.
